Pansies are the colourful flowers with “faces,” and is there a better way to keep your indoor plants happy than with a smiling bunch of permanent blooms?
This plant pot is thrown on the wheel using porcelain stoneware clay in my studio, located in Calgary, Alberta. The graphic on the plant pot has been hand-carved into the surface using the sgraffito technique, which involves covering the Plant pot's surface with my handmade black slip and carving away until the image is finished. This means you can feel the slightly raised, carved texture when you wrap your hands around this plant pot. While I create different series of designs, each pot is made and decorated individually, so that no two pieces are identical, and each design is matched with one of my brightly coloured glazes.
Sizing: All of my plant pots are handmade, so their individual sizes may differ slightly. I do my best to keep them as consistent as possible. Approximately 700 mL Stands about 10cm tall and is 12cm wide at the top.
