Whimsical and fun, these hand-painted daisies are reminiscent of all the best vibrant summer gardens rolled into one.
This bud vase is thrown on the wheel using porcelain stoneware clay in my studio, located in Calgary, Alberta. The graphic on the pot has been hand-carved into the surface using the sgraffito technique, which involves covering the vase's surface with my handmade black slip and carving away until the image is finished. This means you can feel the slightly raised carved texture. While I create different series of designs, each vase is made and decorated individually, so that no two pieces are identical, and each design is matched with one of my brightly coloured glazes.
Sizing: All of my vases are handmade, so their individual sizes may differ slightly. I do my best to keep them as consistent as possible. Approximately 125mL Stands about 8cm tall and is 5.5cm wide at the base
